The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime is a CD-ROM-based time travel adventure game that had been announced for Pippin, PlayStation and Saturn consoles.[1]

Development

The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime was originally developed as a "Director's Cut" remake of The Journeyman Project by Presto Studios. However, programmer Bob Bell found the Pippin platform to be challenging to work with, as there was limited memory, no hardware acceleration for graphics, and no way to debug on the console.[2]

Bandai Digital Entertainment promoted The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime on their website for Pippin @WORLD and shipped a Power Macintosh version in 1997.[3] It was also produced in Japanese.[4]

Rare test copies of the Pippin version have been demonstrated online,[5][6] but it is unclear whether it had ever been officially released.[7] An 8MB memory module is required for a Pippin Atmark or @WORLD console to run the game.[8][9]

Since 2013, ports incorporating unreleased material from the PlayStation version were released for Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and Steam.[1]
